Arapahoe Musicians Selected to 2008 All State Jazz Band

Centennial, Colorado—Arapahoe Junior trumpeter, Melanie Brown, has been selected to perform in the 2008 Colorado All State Jazz Band. Melanie was selected as one of the best top 4 large schools section trumpeters in the state. Junior pianist, Wes Leffingwell, was selected as the alternate pianist for the 2008 All State Jazz Band.

Wes was evaluated to be one of the two best large school jazz pianists in the state.

This year’s All State Jazz Band Concert will take place at the Broadmoor Hall, in Colorado Springs, on Saturday, January 26, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Ed Cannava is Arapahoe’s Director of Bands.
