Arapahoe Band Students Selected to All State Band

Centennial, Colorado— Senior Flute Player, Roxy Steinberg; Senior Flute Player, Abbe Haller, Senior Bassoonist, Matt Cullen, Senior Trombonist, Dave Ellis, Senior Percussionist, Katie Cassara; and Junior Pianist, Wes Leffingwell, have been selected to perform in the 2008 Colorado All State Band. Senior Clarinetist, Carissa Pierce, and Junior Trumpeter, Melanie Brown, were selected as alternates. The 2008 All State Symphonic Band is comprised of 42 students representing 50 high schools. 910 students from 144 high schools participated in the recent All State Band auditions. This year’s All State Band Concert will take place at the Colony Civic Center Auditorium in Greeley, on Saturday, March 29 at 4:00 p.m. Dr. Ed Cannava is Arapahoe’s Director of Bands.
