ABB is hosting the third annual band carwash on Saturday, June 7, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. !!!
Students will be washing 100 cars (total) at four locations:

This event is a fundraiser for all bands, marching band, all concert bands, and all jazz bands. All students enrolled or enrolling in band classes and/or Color Guard for 2008-2009 will be asked to participate. We will need parents to work on the day of the carwash, as well. We will send an email, in the near future, to solicit parent support and time. Sheets will be in the band room for students to sign up.
Each student is asked to get sponsors or pledges from at least 5 individuals or businesses, prior to the carwash day. Pledges should total at least $150 to $200 per student. Relatives, parents’ coworkers, neighbors, family friends, and businesses (places visited regularly, businesses owned by friends, etc.) are the best resources. Door to door solicitation, though comfortable for some students, is not required for this event.
If a sponsor agrees to pay $.20 per car washed, for example, he would owe $20 (100 cars @ $.20 per car) after the wash is completed. Students will collect the money, after the wash, and turn it into ABB. It’s simple, fun, and, clearly, very profitable. But, for success, every student must participate in the pledge process.
Pledge cards are due by June 6, 2008. When completed, cards may be left in the band box, in the band room, anytime before June 6.
All students receiving at least 5 pledges will be invited to a pool party in June.
This should be a great experience and a good time for everyone !!! Let’s help each other to make this an extremely profitable, yearly event !!! Extra pledge cards are available in the band room. Let’s get going.
