Arapahoe Winter Percussion Ensemble Named State Champion Runner-Up

Centennial, Colorado—The Arapahoe High School Winter Percussion Ensemble was named the State Champion Runner-Up at the Colorado State Winter Percussion Championships held at Legend High School on April 11^th. They competed in the prestigious Scholastic Concert World Class, under the direction of instructor, Mr. Fred Bowlus. Arapahoe scored a school record 93 points.  The show was an original composition written by Doug Rosener.  It was entitled “Child’s Play”.

Members of the Arapahoe High School Winter Percussion Ensemble include David Culp, Senior; Kevin Matthews, Junior; Cameron Brown and Cody Stogsdill, Sophomores; and Dan Matthews, Jake Mirow, Raleigh Jonscher and Kikue Hardman, Freshmen.

Dr. Ed Cannava is the Band Director at Arapahoe.
